Sonos PLAYBASE is the ideal way to get cinematic sound from your TV or high quality music playback from your smartphone and other devices. Hear every detail of what you're listening to, whether it's a classic album you love or the atmospheric soundtrack to a gripping film.
Ten internal drivers combine to bring sounds alive. Hear sparkling high frequencies and subtle details clearly separated from warm midrange tones. An internal woofer delivers sumptuous bass to give your entertainment depth and power.
Each driver is individually amplified, so you can pump the volume all the way without distorting the sound. Every experience is clean, clear and satisfying.
Simple two-cable setup
All you need is an optical cord to connect PLAYBASE to your TV - and power from the wall. Forget about complicated manuals – the Sonos app takes you through the setup process step-by-step.
It'll even show you how to link your PLAYBASE to your home WiFi for streaming music from online services like Spotify Premium, Deezer and TIDAL. Don't forget that with Apple AirPlay 2, you can stream directly from your Apple devices, and ask Siri to play your favourites from Apple Music.
Create a surround sound setup
PLAYBASE can turn into a virtual surround sound system. Since it's multi-room enabled, you can wirelessly connect a pair of compatible Sonos PLAY:1, PLAY:3 or PLAY:5 speakers (each sold separately) – position them behind you to hear more from your entertainment.
Add a Sonos SUB (sold separately) for fat, room-shaking bass that will transform your music, movies and games.
Wireless multi-room enabled
Sonos means multi-room music. PLAYBASE is multi-room enabled, so you can connect it to other Sonos speakers you already own and start streaming music around your home.
You can add up to 32 speakers to fill your house with music. Play the same song in every room, which is great for parties. Or give each room an individual soundtrack - every family member has their own preference.
Simple control
Control everything using the Sonos Controller App, whether it's streaming from popular online services, accessing music libraries on your devices, or customising settings.
Since PLAYBASE works with nearly any TV, set top box or universal remote control, you can keep on using your existing remotes to control your AV setup. It will learn their infrared commands during setup, so it's convenient and hassle-free.
